The Minnesota Twins jettison a couple of players
The Minnesota Twins have outrighted 25-year old shortstop Sergio Santos and 29-year old righty swinging Tim Jorgensen to AAA making them both free agents. Santos played in 152 games in AAA ball last season and he was 118 for 535 (.221 avg, .580 OPS) with 64 runs scored, 5 homers, 56 RBIs and 9 stolen bases. Jorgensen played in 2 games for the Twins last season and he was 0 for 1 (.000 avg). He has now played in 10 games in his career with the Twins and he is 3 for 20 (.150 avg, .600 OPS) with 3 runs scored, 2 homers and 6 RBIs. The Twins won’t miss either of these guys moving forward.
