Joe Mauer is back for the Minnesota Twins

Joe Mauer has been activated from the D.L. and it looks like he never missed any action. In his first two games back for the Twins he is 6 for 9 (.667 avg, 1.922 OPS) with 3 runs scored, 1 homer and 2 RBIs. Look for the Twins’ offense to take off with Mauer back in the #3 spot in the batting order. Still, a tip of the hat is required for 26-year old righty swinging catcher Jose Morales who did a fine job while Mauer was out of action. Morales has played in 19 games for the Twins this season and he is 15 for 43 (.349 avg, .810 OPS) with 7 runs scored and 2 RBIs.
