The Minnesota Twins lose Kevin Slowey for the season
Kevin Slowey will miss the remainder of the 2009 season due to right wrist surgery. Slowey started 16 games for the Twins this season and he is 10-3 with a 4.86 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP. This is a shame for Slowey who was having a good season. Andy Swarzak will replace Slowey in the rotation and he has done a good job so far this season.
